Manage Authorizations

Go to the patient detail page and click the Authorizations tab. Active authorizations show the procedure code, authorized units, units used, units remaining, and the authorization period.

Each time a verified visit is recorded, the corresponding authorized units are consumed automatically. You can see the utilization percentage as a progress bar on each authorization.

When an authorization is approaching its end date or running low on units, click Request Renewal. This flags the authorization with a Renewal Requested status and notifies the billing team.

The dashboard shows an alert banner when any patient has an authorization expiring within 30 days. The compliance dashboard shows a full list of expiring authorizations across all patients.
